Description
- Iron is one of the most important micronutrients that, due to its ability to oxidize, has the ability to precipitate in the soil, making it unavailable to the plant and unusable. For this reason, forms of this element must be used that do not become inactive in the soil.
- Therefore, various types of iron chelates are used to increase the iron available to plants and consequently increase photosynthesis and increase the yield of agricultural products. It is better to know that iron is present in large quantities in the soil by itself, but it is not active and the roots of plants are not able to absorb it, which is how iron deficiency occurs.
- Now, to solve this problem, you can either use organic materials and increase the amount of iron available in the soil, or compensate for this deficiency by adding iron in absorbable and stable forms, such as various types of iron chelates.
